Top 2018 Players to Watch in July

July marks a pivotal month for players across the country playing in various tournaments for their respective summer teams looking to improve against top competition with the hopes of catching the eye of college scouts.

There are three open evaluation periods for Division I coaches in July–the 6th-10th, 13th-17th, and 20th-24th.

Here’s a look at where the top 2018 players in Topeka will be playing in July:

JETT CANFIELD | 5-10 Point Guard | KC Run GMC 16U

Jett Canfield is an All-State and All-City performer who has been receiving interest from Ivy League schools Harvard, Yale, and Penn, which plan to see him play in July.

WILL WHITE | 6-2 Shooting Guard | Kansas All-Stars 16U

Will White is a skilled two-way player who also excels in the classroom. White is a good perimeter shooter and has an all-around game to keep an eye on. Poised for a breakout junior season.

LARRY WHITE | 6-3 Small Forward | Kansas All-Stars 16U

Larry White uses his length to his advantage on both ends of the court particularly on defense where he blocks shots. Still developing an offensive game, but is another player looking for a breakout junior season.

James Warren, 5-10, PG, Oz Elite 17U — Played at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. last season

Koriyon Carr, 5-10, PG, Kansas Hoggs 16U — Averaged 13 points a game as a sophomore

Dasani Giardina, 5-10, PG, Top City 17U — Top reserve on last year’s Highland Park 17-8 team
